The R&D group within MasterCard was looking to create a new brand for itself. The goal: to attract and partner with outside developers to help MasterCard invent new payment technologies.
The first step was to define MasterCard Labs – was it simply a technology group or something bigger? As a result, the Idea Window was created. It symbolizes a physical space where great ideas come to life. It’s a living identity that can hold a variety content, but it can still live within and relate to the MasterCard Worldwide identity.
